Barco’s high end home cinema group, Barco Residential, has launched the latest version of its high end, three chip DLP Prometheus III projector which has a laser light source. The unit supports native 4K at the high brightness of 11,500 lumens and with 4,500:1 native contrast while operating at 60fps or at 30fps with 3D. The projector has an on-board DCI media server and also has dual HDMI. The unit is manufactured in the same facilities where Barco’s professional cinema displays are produced.
