This week we are highlighting Public Displays in the 40″ and 42″ Full HD LCD category with 1920 x 1080 resolution. There are nine brands featured in the advertising. LG is at the top of the PageShare for the combined three major countries, NEC Displays is second and Samsung is third. In France, Samsung leads with NEC Displays in second and Philips in third. In Germany, LG leads with Samsung in second and NEC Displays in third and in the UK, NEC Displays leads with Samsung in second and LG third.
Over the three countries, LG’s 42WS50MS-B and NEC Display’s MultiSync X401S were joint top followed by NEC Displays’ MultiSync V423 and Samsung’s ED40D in joint third. In France, the Philips’ BDL4252EL and Samsung’s ME40A are in joint first followed by Samsung’s ED40D. In Germany, LG’s 42WS50MS-B is top with NEC Displays’ MultiSync X401S in second and ViewSonic’s CDE4200-L in third and in the UK, NEC Displays took all three top positions with the MultiSync P403, the MultiSync X401S and the MultiSync E424.
The average dollar price was down 14% year on year over the three countries. The average dollar price in France was down 18% YoY, while in Germany it was down 17% and in the UK it was down by 8%. The minimum price in December for a 42″ Full HD Public Display was $549.77, excluding tax.
