At the Computex show, Microsoft showed a number of Windows ‘Mixed reality’ including updates from Asus and Dell. Microsoft is talking of the platform using the Microsoft Holographic brand.
Dell showed an early prototype at CES and has been worked on by the design team that works on the XPS PCs and Alienware PCs. There is cable routing, replaceable face cushions and a ‘halo-style’ headband with a flip up visor.
Products are expected to be ready for shipping later in the year, ideally ready for the year end holidays.
