A new quad-core SoC, supporting UltraHD, has been developed by Marvell. The Armada 1500 Pro 4K (88DE3214) uses an ARM CPU and a ‘multi-core’ 3D graphics processor.
UltraHD content can be played at 60fps, using HEVC decoding. The SoC is intended for Smart TV and STB applications. SDKs include both Android and RDK.
