AOpen’s Datawall product line is a new addition to the company’s plug-and-play portfolio. A multi-display production and presentation system, the Datawall packages (DE67-HAI, DE6140, DE7200 and Engine Core) consist of computers/players and bundled software.
According to AOpen, Datawall products are ‘endlessly’ expandable. They can be managed through AOpen’s networked Digital Engine computing devices and are designed to run 24/7.
Software in the Datawall packages is a production and playback system for multi-display applications. It can manage still images, video, graphics, sound and live feeds.
The DE67-HAI is designed for content distribution and cluster control. The bundled software enables users to schedule and control ‘unlimited’ clusters and auxiliary devices, such as audio and lighting. Media productions can also be remotely controlled via mobile devices. Second- and third-generation Intel Core i3, i5 or i7 mobile processors are supported.
AOpen’s DE6140 can drive up to four displays with 1920 x 1080 resolution. Four HDMI outputs are featured. The media player uses a quad-core AMD R464 CPU and Radeon HD7660G GPU. It can be combined with the DE7200 computer, running Datawall production software. Two HDMI outputs are featured and the computer will support up to fourth-generation Core i3, i5 or i7 mobile processors, running Windows 8.1.
Finally, AOpen’s Engine Core package consists of an RDM module (for redundant power management) and an Engine Core 700. The package can be extended to a user’s specific configuration requirements. For example, a DE67-HAI and DE6140 could be used, creating a distribution, control and playback bundle for up to 28 displays.
