AOC in the US has announced the P2779VC, a 27″ PLS-based (Samsung’s version of IPS) FullHD monitor with an integrated charger supporting the “Qi” wireless system for mobile device charging, with no cables required. Compatible devices include Samsung Galaxy S5-6/Edge, Google Nexus 4-7, Motorola Droid Maxx, and Nokia Lumia 920-1520, among others.
Inputs includ VGA, dual HDMI and there is a headphone jack. Brightness is 300 cd/m² and contrast is quoted only as a dynamic value, best described as ‘plenty’. Response time is 5ms (gtg). Pricing is $250 and the product will be available this month.
