The AirFuel Alliance has formed a new PC Task Forces including Dell, Lenovo, STMicroelectronics and others to further the evolution of wireless charging for PCs. The task force will work towards encouraging all PC OEM’s to embed resonant technology in PCs (including laptops, tablets, and 2-in-1 laptop/tablet hybrids) through volume production. The goal is to deliver higher power wireless charging at lower costs.
Analyst Comment
The AirFuel Alliance is one of the two main organisations that are looking to establish wireless charging. The other is the Wireless Power Consortium that is promoting the Qi technology. The Alliance was formed by the Alliance for Wireless Power and the Power Matters Alliance. (BR)
