A tablet with an integrated DLP projector, the ProjectorPad P70, has been developed by Aiptek. It is a 7″ tablet, but using the projector the on-screen image can be mirrored and displayed at a diagonal up to 120″.
A 1.6GHz quad-core processor (ARM Cortex A9) runs Android 4.4.4, with 1GB of RAM and 16GB of storage. A micro-SD slot, accepting cards up to 64GB, is also integrated. Screen resolution is 1024 x 600.
The pico projector uses an RGB LED light source, lasting up to 20,000 hours. It has 854 x 480 resolution, a 1,000:1 contrast ratio and up to 50 lumens of brightness. 18″ – 120″ images can be projected from 0.5m – 3.3m away.
Aiptek is selling its tablet/projector now, for €310 ex VAT.
