China’s Actions Semiconductor has launched the GT7 chipset: a 64-bit octa-core device (quad-core CPU and GPU) for OTT set-top boxes (STBs).
Featuring HEVC decoding, the GT7 enables UltraHD playback from online sources. RJ45 and USB 3.0 interfaces are also supported. Actions’ own 28nm ATM9009 SoC is used. The chipset supports Android and China’s most prevalent OTT OS, Alibaba’s YunOS.
