Leader Standardises Cinelite Features

Leader Instruments’s LV5333 is a portable (6.5″) waveform monitor, for use in studios, technical areas or attached to a video camera-support tripod. As well as the video image, the display can show waveform and vectorscope signals.

As an update to Leader’s LV5330, the LV5333 includes features that were previously optional as standard. These include Cinelite II (on-picture measurements of video levels), Cinelite Advanced (synchronises markers on the display to the measurement points of the f stop display or % display), histogram, gamma display, gamut and level error display functions. External timing and field frequency deviation displays are also featured. Multi-display combinations (user-configurable) can be shown, or a full-screen mode.

The LV5333 will work with over 20 HD/SD-SDI formats. For example, it can be set to display YCbCr, YRGB, YGBR, GBR or RGB luminance waveform, colour vector, five-bar, surround-sound level, status or video source. Different SDI input signals can be compared against each other with the freeze mode.

Aside from the above features, the LV5333 is similar to the LV5330. It has 1024 x 768 resolution and features two BNC connectors, as well as a front-facing USB input. RJ45 and 15-pin D-Sub are used for control.

Leader is selling the LV5333 now; price is on request.
