Hannstar’s Sales & Shipments Down In August

Hannstar Display said that sales and shipments both declined last month, with revenue for the month 1.7% lower than July and 32.8% down year on year at NT$1.8 billion ($60 million). Sales for the eight month period since the beginning of the year were 30.6% lower at NT$15.4 billion ($513 million). The company’s small and medium size panel shipments fell 3.4% sequentially to 30 million, while shipments of large panels and HannsG products reached 53,000 units, down 9.7% month on month. So far this year, Hannstar has shipped 230.1 million small and medium panels and 457,000 large units.
