Aura, a new semi-private airline in the US, has revealed its “wave” class cabin, which features transparent OLED window displays, plus an additional OLED panel on the ceiling of the aircraft which mimics the sky outside.
On its website, Aura says, “OLED technology joins two windows to form the largest simulated window in the sky. A wide variety of contextual information can be overlaid in augmented reality onto the skyline including points of interest, and time and distance to your destination”.
Emirates recently revealed its first-class cabin, which also incorporates virtual OLED windows.
