Tech Data Starts Consumer Group in the UK

Tech Data in the UK has formed a Consumer Technology Group to work on tablets, wearables, smart home and other consumer technologies. The group will effectively replace TD Triade. The group will have forty employees and will be headed by Matt Child (who runs Tech Data Mobile) who said “We are seeing an unprecedented wave of new technology development in which the lines between product categories are becoming blurred. A number of our vendors now have ranges that straddle mobile, wearables, VR and smart home.”
