YouTube is launching YouTube TV in New York, Los Angeles, San Francisco Bay Area, Chicago, and Philadelphia at a cost of $35 a month, which is priced at less than half the average cost of cable TV. There is also no commitment with the service and it is possible to cancel at any time.
As part of the membership, the following is included:
- Live TV streaming from ABC, CBS, FOX, NBC, ESPN, Fox Sports Networks, Comcast SportsNet plus lots more.
- Cloud DVR, with no storage limits and recordings can be kept for nine months.
- Ability to watch YouTube TV on a smartphone, tablet or computer.
- YouTube Red original series and films.
- Ability to share YouTube TV membership with your family and roommates.
- Additional networks including, AMC, BBC America, IFC, Sundance TV, WE TV, and BBC World News will be included soon at no additional charge.
