Vivitek (the Delta brand) is well known for its projection products but was highlighting its flat panel displays in 65″ (FullHD and UltraHD) and 75″/86″/98″ with UltraHD. Panels are IPS with contrast of 1,200:1 and brightness of 300 cd/m² (minimum)/ 350 cd/m² typical. Response time is 8ms and the displays have 4mm toughened glass (7H hardness).
The company explained its collaboration technology (NovoConnect) which can allow the connection of 64 devices, with four being shown simultaneously on the main display. Features include being able to annotate and share content. Vivitek highlighted that it does not charge a licence fee for its software. The company uses 10 touch infrared technology and will sell the displays under the Vivitek brand. They will be available in May.
The company told us that the displays have Android integrated (V5.1), with full support for an OPS module, if PC functions are needed. The Android implementation supports the Google Play store.
At ISE, Vivitek will show the version of its software that is intended for corporates and will also have Wi-Fi direct dongles for simple connection of client devices to HDMI-based displays.
