The UK’s DTG said that it has launched the latest version of its D-Book, D-Book 9. The aim of the new version is to improve the operation of FTA hybrid TV services and builds on the integration of the UK’s MHEG heritage and HbbTV 2.0. The new version adds support for HLG & PQ10 HDR and HEVC compression. It also extends support for Freeview Play.
The latest version is available for download by members.
D-Book 8 was published in March 2015 and set out the support for the Freeview Play catch up and other features.
