Mediatek has said at an investors’ meeting that it expects its 2-16 revenues to rise 25% compared to 2015: a revision from the previously-forecast 10% growth. President CJ Hsieh said that Mediatek expects worldwide smartphone shipments to rise 7%-9% this year, with shipments from Chinese vendors growing faster than the market.
In Q3, Mediatek will seek to grow its Helio line of mobile processors to more than 20% of its total shipments.
