The Dutch TV market continued to decline in Q1, says Telecompaper, with connections falling for the fourth straight quarter. Connections were down by 8,000 (0.1%). Although digital TV was up 0.4%, this was not enough to offset the 4.7% drop in analogue TV connections. Almost 90% of connections were digital by the end of Q1. Ziggo led the market (51.7% of subscribers), followed by KPN (29.2%). KPN’s growth is mainly driven by IPTV, at the expense of cable operator Ziggo.
