Germany’s DVB-TV Project Office has said that the country will launch a new DVB-T2 platform on the 29th March 2017, carrying 40 ‘mostly HD’ channels. DVB-T transmission will end at the same time as the new platform is launched in reach region. DVB-T2 will be available in several cities initially and roll out progressively across the country. The launch is scheduled to be completed by mid-2019.
