THine Electronics has developed a 16Gbps ‘ultra-high-speed’ interface technology, which could be used as an internal interface in 8k TVs and other high-resolution applications.
The new development is applicable to THine’s V-by-One technology, but also to other interfaces such as USB 3.1, PCIe 4.0 and Fibre Channel 16GFC.
As well as 8k TVs, the technology can be applied to automotive infotainment. THine plans to offer the solution for advanced usages in consumer electronics, industrial equipment and automotive applications. The first working samples are currently slated to be delivered in the first half of 2017.
THine has now started development of a 32Gbps technology.
