Live Autostereo Conversion Shown at CES

News is just now being released by VEFXi of a 3D conversion technology, embedded on a microchip, which it showed privately at CES this year. The chip takes 2D or stereoscopic 3D video and converts it to glasses-free (autostereoscopic) content. The conversion is done in real-time, and the chip can be used in mobile devices. The technology is enabled by the company’s NeuroBrain depth synthesis technology and custom chip architecture. As a result of the demonstrations, VEFXi said that several development and intent-to-purchase MoUs are in the works.
