TCL has launched the TCL RayNeo X2 Morpheus Plan, a global developer program centered on its binocular full-color AR glasses, the TCL RayNeo X2. The initiative invites software developers worldwide to contribute their ingenuity and expertise in creating user-centric features for the AR glasses and establishing a leading AR ecosystem.
Debuted at CES 2023, the TCL RayNeo X2 is a binocular full-color micro-LED optical waveguide AR glasses. Driven by the Qualcomm Snapdragon XR2 platform, these AR glasses offer an array of features housed in a wearable eyeglasses form factor, such as real-time multi-language dialogue translation, SLAM-supported smart navigation, call and message notifications, and photo-taking capabilities. Mass production is scheduled for later this year.
The Morpheus Plan seeks to elevate user experiences and develop a diverse array of AR content for the RayNeo glasses. The program is now accepting applications from individuals and organizations globally. Developers are encouraged to submit innovative ideas and software solutions that will enhance the ecosystem and explore novel use cases for AR glasses. Selected participants will be granted resources and support to actualize their projects, including exclusive early access to RayNeo X2 working samples, Android and Unity-based development tools, and comprehensive community support via Discord with daily Q&A updates hosted by RayNeo.
The first recruitment phase for the Morpheus Plan will run from April 20th to May 31st, 2023. Finalists whose work is integrated into the TCL RayNeo X2’s application ecosystem will be awarded exclusive royalties.
