Albis Technologies showed its Scenegate set-top boxes. These are designed to support both traditional (IPTV, broadcast and VoD) and value-added services (OTT, interactive, media sharing).
The Scenegate 8073 is Albis’ newest STB, introduced at IBC 2014. It is an entry-level IPTV and OTT unit, with DLNA support and delivering 1920 x 1080 resolution. The box also supports HTML5. It is a compact product, measuring 85 x 85 x 35mm.
Albis was also showing the Scenegate 8083l another entry-level IPTV and OTT STB, with third-party middleware. It is designed as a second-room unit and can be used in concealed environments thanks to an external IR extender. The STB also supports DLNA.
Resolutions up to 1920 x 1080 are supported. The Scenegate 8083 has 512MB of RAM, 128MB of flash memory and runs Linux. HDMI, USB and RJ45 ports are featured.
