This week we are highlighting LCD monitors in the 24″ Wide category, covering 16:10 models and sizes from 23″ wide to 24″ wide with resolution of 1920 x 1200. There are 13 brands featured in the advertising, with Philips the top advertised brand across all three countries, followed by NEC Displays in second and Asus in third. In France, Philips leads followed by Asus in second and Iiyama in third.
In Germany, Asus is top followed by Samsung in second and Eizo in third , while in the UK, NEC Displays leads, followed by Philips and Asus. Over the three countries, Dell is first with the U2412M followed by HP’s Z24i and Iiyama’s ProLite X2485WS-B1 and NEC Displays’ MultiSync P242W-BK. In France, Iiyama’s ProLite X2485WS-B1 is top, followed by HP’s Z24i in second and Dell’s U2412M in third.
In Germany, the top model was Samsung’s S24D391HL, with Dell’s U2412M in second and the Asus PB248Q in third. In the UK, the three leading models were Dell’s U2412M, BenQ’s BL2411PT. The average dollar price was down 38% year on year over the three countries. The average dollar price in France was down 54% YoY, while in Germany it went down by 47% and in the UK it was down by 22%. The minimum price in December for a 24″ Wide LCD monitor was $135.91 excluding tax.
