Thanks to Computerworld for putting together this excellent round-up of those in the technology industry that left us in 2014.
In addition to Bernard Lechner and George Heilmeier, mentioned in that list, the display industry also lost Jack Wayman, the founder of the CES show and the “architect of IBC”, John Wilson.
One of those on the list was Bob Bishop, an Apple pioneer, and the developer of Apple-vision, a graphics demonstration on the Apple ][ that was one of the first computer graphics demos to impress me and especially my family.
Lode Runner was never one of my favourites (check at 4:30 into this video) , but I’m sure I played it. – Bob Raikes
