Statistics from TV Licensing show that 10,000 people in the UK are still viewing black and white TV, not colour. Londoners represent the majority of black and white licensees (2,222), trailed by Birmingham (429) and Manchester (313). Nostalgia may have something to do with this – but the lower licence fee (£49 ($70) a year, compared to £145.50 ($215)) is also likely to be a factor.
