ZTE Delivers STBs to TotalPlay Based on Netgem Middleware

Netgem has announced that it has signed an agreement with ZTE for the delivery of TV solutions to telco operators in Latin America. The first telco to benefit from this agreement was TotalPlay in Mexico, with ZTE delivering STBs embedding with Netgem middleware to the company. TotalPlay has deployed 50,000km of fibre in more than 20 cities in Mexico, and provides double and triple play services to 600,000 subscribers.

Netgem will continue to directly maintain and license its software platform to its long-term client TotalPlay, both on the existing subscribers base and for all the new STBs that will be delivered by ZTE in the coming years. This is the first time that Netgem software has been ported and licensed on hardware supplied by a third party.
