At its Mi Note 2 launch, Xiaomi also announced a new low cost VR headset with a motion tracker and a controller and designed to work with the firms’ smartphones (Mi Note 2, Mi 5s, Mi 5s Plus, Mi 5). Pricing is expected to be about $29 although it will only be available in China at the moment.
Analyst Comment
The company was listed as a supporter of Google’s Daydream technology, but this doesn’t seem to apply to this headset.
