Data from Statcounter shows that Windows 10’s growth, which started strongly, has slowed significantly from its first week. After launch the OS enjoyed a 177% week-on-week jump, to 3.78% of the global desktop OS market, from 1.36%. Growth in the week to 16th August was 30%, to a 4.95% share. Windows 7’s share held steady, but Windows 8.1 fell from 15.03% to 14.09%.
