The Therme Erding water park in Erding, Germany has incorporated VR technology into its water slide attractions. Visitors can choose from a range of virtual worlds to be immersed within, including a snowy mountain peak, outer space or a hot air balloon ride through the sky.
Sensors placed along the slide track the position of the user and adjust the virtual environment accordingly. The park is also developing a VR-based training simulation for wannabe divers attending the park.
