VR Zone Arcade in Tokyo Launches Dragon Quest Game

Bandai Namco has launched a new experience at its VR Zone arcade in Tokyo, Japan, based on popular Japanese RPG franchise, Square Enix’s Dragon Quest, powered by HTC Vive with custom motion controllers, and MSI backpack PCs.

Dragon Quest VR is played in groups of four in a large space. Players choose from a range of classes, all with varying abilities, to complete quests and vanquish monsters together across three short encounters.

Dragon Quest isn’t the only major video game franchise that’s landed at this particular arcade in VR form — last year saw the launch of a Mario Kart experience, exclusively at VR Zone. Entry to the space costs ¥800 ($7) and a 15 minute experience costs ¥3200 ($28).
