VR Threatened by Low Cost

Juniper Research said that nearly 60 million VR headsets using smartphones will ship in 2021, up from around 16.8 million this year. Fewer than 5% of smartphone VR apps are chargeable at the point of download which means that consumers will have an expectation that VR is very cheap or free and Juniper is concerned that this will mean low quality experiences and put consumers off.
