Just one week after UK mobile operator EE launched its own EE TV service (Display Monitor Vol 21 No 44), rival Vodafone has announced plans to introduce a service next year. The company will use its fixed-line assets to deliver the service with “a VDSL-like speed”, said European CEO Philipp Humm. Coverage is said to be slightly more than 50% of UK homes. Vodafone already offers TV services in five other markets.
