The Geobox G-401 is a four-channel LCD videowall controller from VNS (Taiwan), supporting UltraHD inputs. As a pure hardware controller, the unit is said to be free from image lag and synchronisation issues; easy to use; and immune to PC viruses and crashes.

Multiple video sources, such as PCs and media players, can connect to the G-401, which then routes content to a videowall of up to 15 x 15 displays. Multiple resolutions, screen sizes, bezel widths and positions are supported. The product can also be used with other G-401s to extend its control.

Two modules are used in the controller’s design. Each module features DisplayPort, HDMI (x2) and dual-link DVI inputs. The controller also features HDMI (x4) outputs. However, resolution from these outputs will only reach 1920 x 1080, 1920 x 1200 or 2048 x 1080. 10-bit colour and 4:4:4 chroma subsampling are supported.

VNS is shipping the G-401 worldwide now; price is on application.
