Vivitek is owned by Delta, which is primarily focused on thermal and power management. However, the company also owns several; consumer brands. Two new DLP projectors were on show: the H5098 and H1060.
Designed for high-end home cinema use, the H5098 has 1920 x 1080 resolution and 2,000 lumens of brightness. It uses a six-segment (RGBRGB) colour wheel, and has multiple lens options. It will be released in the spring, for $3,000.
A significantly lower-cost model will be the H1060. This is a fixed-zoom model for the mainstream consumer home entertainment market. It is, again, a DLP model with 3,000 lumens of brightness, and will be released at the same time as the H1060; however, the projector only costs $800.
The Qumi Q6 (Vivitek Adds Wireless to Portable Projector), a portable LED projector, was also being shown. It is available in the USA now, for $600.
On the other side of the stand were Vivitek’s NovoPRO product. The NovoPRO is a wireless interactive presentation and collaboration solution; it can be used to share digital content from a PC or mobile device to a display, in 1920 x 1080 resolution. Another new device is NovoDS, which is a digital signage player solution with content creation capabilities.
