Owners have multiple choices with Vivitek’s new laser phosphor DLP projector, the DU7090Z. The unit is supplied with five optional lenses, a centred lens design for easy set-up and both horizontal and vertical lens shift.
Designed for heavy-duty, 24/7 usage, the projector will run for up to 20,000 hours. It has a DICOM Simulation mode and integrated network monitoring capacity. It can also be used with Vivitek’s NovoPro wireless presentation and collaboration solution.
Display resolution is 1920 x 1080, and brightness reaches 6,000 lumens. The unit has a contrast ratio of 15,000:1. Throw ratio (and image size/projection distance) is dependent on the lens, but ranges from 0.78:1 to 3.0-5.0:1. A manual zoom, focus and lens shift are built in, as are vertical (+/-30°) and horizontal (+/-25°) keystone correction and four-corner adjustment.
As well as two 10W speakers, the DU7090Z features HDMI (x2, one with MHL), DVI-D, VGA (doubles as output), component, composite, USB-A, USB-B, RS232 and RJ45 (x2, one for HDBaseT) ports.
Vivitek is selling the projector now, for £5,320 ($7,690) ex VAT.
