Vivitek is preparing for a summer of sport, releasing a projector that is focused on brightness and contrast ratio before the Olympic Games and Euro 2016 football tournament.
The H1060 is a DLP model with a six-segment colour wheel (GYRWCB). It is able to display 3D content and features a long (5,000 – 10,000-hour) lamp life.
A 190W lamp is used in the H1060, providing up to 3,000 lumens of brightness. Display resolution is 1920 x 1080 and contrast ratio is 15,000:1. The projector can throw a 30″ – 317″ image from 1m – 8m (1.14-1.15:1 throw ratio), and features a 1.3x zoom and +/-40º vertical keystone correction.
HDMI (x2, one supporting MHL), VGA and mini-USB-B ports are featured, as well as a 2W speaker. Dimensions are 275 x 212 x 100mm; the unit weighs 2.3kg.
Vivitek is selling the H1060 now, for £505 ($745) ex VAT.
