The LS740HD/W comes in a small and lightweight design and promoted as having high energy efficiency. This projector can deliver images of up to 300 inches and is targeted at boardrooms, lecture halls, large event venues, and restaurants.

This new model uses a 3rd generation laser phosphor technology, enhancing luminous efficiency by 20%, leading to greater energy savings. The technology has been optimized to increase brightness, making the 5,000 ANSI Lumens LS740HD/W suitable for use in environments with high ambient light,

While lamp-based projectors have traditionally dominated the market, the shift towards laser projectors offers many advantages, particularly for the professional AV market. Laser projectors have significantly longer lifespans, reducing the need for regular lamp replacements.

Despite their higher initial cost, laser projectors offer lower total costs of ownership, due to fewer maintenance requirements and reduced energy consumption, making them a more sustainable choice. Defective laser engines can be sent back to the factory for repairs, while used projector lamps, which can contain hazardous waste, need to be correctly recycled to prevent environmental damage. While lamp projectors may still be suitable for intermittent, non-professional use, laser projectors offer higher quality, reliability, simplicity, and cost-effectiveness for demanding AV applications.
