Absen’s NT Series Surpasses 50,000 Panels Sold

Absen, an LED display manufacturer from China, has announced that its Neptune (NT) series of LED displays has surpassed a notable milestone with the sale of over 50,000 panels, solidifying its position as a key player in the global LED display market.

Absen and Covid-19

Absen showed a commendable adaptability to the market changes brought on by the pandemic. The company pivoted towards the virtual production market, making a successful transition by launching new products suitable for this evolving sector.

In the autumn of 2021, Absen launched the Clear Cobalt series, specifically designed for pitches between 0.7mm and 1.2mm and ushered in its transition to MicroLED. The displays employed flip-chip technology and were reported to achieve a brightness level of 1,200 cd/m². The also had an impressive contrast ratio of 20,000:1, and featured a deep black, non-reflective surface. The displays were also said to support 90% of the Rec.2020 color space.

In addition to the Clear Cobalt series, Absen introduced the HC range with 27″ cabinets that weighed just 5.2 kg and started to promote an AX Pro and MR series, which were specifically designed for mixed-reality film productions. The panels were said to have a brightness of 1,000 cd/m² and an LED refresh rate of 7680Hz.
