ViewSonic Joins UHD DLP Trend

ViewSonic will start shipping a new home cinema projector, the PX7470-4K at the end of Q1. The unit has an UltraHD imager based on a DC3 0.47″ DLP with 3,500 Ansi lumens of output from a 240W lamp. The throw ratio is 1.47 to 1.76 and the projector can support 120% ±6% offset and ±40º vertical keystone correction. Noise is 27dB in the ‘silence’ mode. Contrast in the SuperEco mode is 12,000:1.

Connectors are dual HDMI and a VGA as well as component. There is a 10W speaker, a USB Type A and a 12V trigger. The projector supports HDR (unspecified, but we assume HDR10).

The projector will sell in Europe for €1,199.
