VeriSilicon has launched its super resolution IP SR2000, which enhances the resolution and quality of low-resolution video sources to high-resolution and image quality. The new IP can be integrated with VeriSilicon’s DC9000 Display Processor, ISP IP, and VPU for high-quality image display, processing, and encoding. The SR2000 offers controllable enhancement with AI control, performs detail enhancement with preserved color and saturation, and supports super resolution video output at 4K and 8K. The IP is designed for applications in consumer electronics, data centers, surveillance, and healthcare, providing high-quality super resolution with a small silicon area and low-power consumption.
The integration of the latest SR2000 IP has expanded VeriSilicon’s pixel processing solution in both cloud and edge computing. Bringing super resolution technology to smart displays achieves unparalleled image quality at the edge display while reducing bandwidth requirements between the cloud and the display. According to Wei-Jin Dai, Executive VP and GM of IP Division at VeriSilicon, the company offers a wide range of intelligent pixel processing IP solutions, and the addition of the new SR2000 IP with silicon-proven super resolution technology further expands its pixel solutions portfolio.
