A survey of 300 UK retailers by Barclays has revealed that almost 70% believe that the Christmas trading period this year will be better than last year’s. This compares to 52% who felt the same way in 2013. The survey has also shown that the USA’s Black Friday’s tradition is gaining traction in the UK; 65% of retailers are planning promotions on the 28th November.
