TiVo will exit the set-top box manufacturing business, opting instead to work with a third party, it has been reported. The third party in question has not yet been named, but is described by TiVo president and CEO Enrique Rodriguez as “a major manufacturer” that the company has “a great relationship” with. Rodriguez made the comments on a first-quarter earnings call with investors.
