TiVo’s new Bolt STB is UltraHD-capable (for Netflix and YouTube) and includes an improved ‘SkipMode’ feature to wind past adverts. The box can handle cable and Verizon’s FiOS service, but not satellite or AT&T’s U-Verse. A 500GB model will cost $300 and a 1TB model will cost $400 – including a year of service.
Analyst Comment
So far, it appears that the Bolt will only support UltraHD for OTT services, not broadcast. (TA)
