Ooyala has posted a blog that explains how the company’s SDK can be used to enable the watch to be used to control the playback of video on an iOS device.
This means that using an Apple TV, which can display content from iOS devices, the Apple Watch could be used as a simple TV remote. We suspect that when Apple updates the Apple TV, which is expected this summer, the Apple Watch gold edition, to paraphrase Paul Gray of IHS, will become a “$20,000 answer to a $5 question”!
