TCL’s New Streaming Service Broadens Appeal of TV Brand in North America

TCL has launched a new streaming service named TCLtv+. This service offers North American users access to over 200 FAST (free ad-supported streaming television) channels and more than 1500 on-demand movies and TV series from studios like Scripps Media, Fremantle, and NBC Universal.

TCLtv+ is an evolution of the original TCL TV Channel, enhanced with something the company calls, IDEO technology. It’s an interface that provides personalized interactions and unique features for users, such as interactive experiences with on-screen characters. For example, during a cooking show, an animated chef might guide users based on the ingredients they have.

TCL has partnered with streaming solution providers, including Amagi, XUMO, and Wurl, to facilitate content distribution. They are also collaborating with companies like Brainstorm Media for content development. The TCLtv+ Live feature includes channels for various communities, and YourTV+ offers a continuously updated selection of titles.

Currently, TCLtv+ is available on TCL televisions with Google TV in the US and Canada. It will soon expand to TCL’s Roku TV and Fire TV platforms. The service is free, with no required subscriptions or logins.
