The Industrial Development Administration of the Ministry of Economic Affairs has established the Smart Display Industrial Alliance (SDIA) to boost the burgeoning display industry in Taiwan, according to a recent announcement. This initiative is championing interdisciplinary collaboration across various sectors, including panel manufacturing, electronic components, software, system integration, and service applications. This year 12 exceptional smart display innovation projects were honored for their contributions to advancing cutting-edge display technology and elevating Taiwan’s smart display industry.
The 2023 SDIA Awards primarily celebrated products showcasing advanced display technology research and breakthroughs. The awards aim to further these innovations in four key sectors: Smart Healthcare, Smart Retail, Smart Mobility, and Smart Education. The Gold Prize was awarded to AUO and E Ink, while Yenrich Technology, AUO, and Lextar Electronics received the Silver Prize. The Bronze Prize was awarded to PanelSemi and Innolux, and the Prize of Excellence went to Lixel, Gio Optoelectronics, and InnoCare Optoelectronics. The award ceremony also featured an exhibition of the winning products, showcasing Taiwan’s excellence in the smart display sector.
