Stewart Filmscreen Demonstrates LuminEsse ‘Edgeless’ Fixed Frame Wall Screen Paired with Ultra-Short Throw Projectors

Stewart Filmscreen®—an Academy Award®winning manufacturer of custom-engineered projector screens and specialty optical coatings—announced today that it will be demonstrating its LuminEsse™, fixed frame front projection screen, in concert with a Canon ultra-short throw projector at InfoComm, June 17–19 in Orlando (booth 2821).

LuminEsse has already received rave reviews by AV trade professionals, editors, and influencers after making its international debut at Integrated Systems Europe 2015, where it was honored with an ISE 2015 Best of Show Award. At InfoComm, Stewart Filmscreen will demonstrate to attendees the benefits of LuminEsse’s extremely thin, almost nonexistent, framing system and the versatility of Stewart’s material choices, which together deliver an unrivaled ultra-short throw (UST) screen solution. The LuminEsse projector screen’s svelte 3/8-inch bezel is ideally suited for short-throw and ultra-short throw applications, where oftentimes the screen frame casts a shadow on the image itself.

At InfoComm, with its high ambient light environment, Stewart will show LuminEsse with GrayMatte 70. The gray surface enhances contrast and the perfect Lambertian diffusion screen coating ensures the most uniformity with an ultra-short throw projector. Stewart recommends SnoMatte 100 for ultra-short throw projectors when used in controlled light environments.

“With over 65 years of experience with material science we can offer integrators choices of materials ideal for popular short throw and ultra-short throw projectors,” stated Grant Stewart, CEO and President of Stewart Filmscreen. He continued, “being a projection screen material leader, we’re not limiting our clients to just one size fits all. We recognize how important it is to match the material not only to the projector, but also to the environment.”

Unlike competitive models, Stewart Filmscreen’s LuminEsse wall screen provides integrators, consultants, designers and tech managers the ability to deliver unrivaled customization capabilities. Most importantly, LuminEsse can be configured with the high-performance Stewart Filmscreen material that best suits the application, which ensures viewing audiences enjoy the best image possible for the given environment. Commercial environments demand carefully specified screens such as those Stewart Filmscreen manufactures, not one-size-fits-all models that don’t cater to the specific needs of the end-user or environment.

The LuminEsse front projection wall screen features an optional LED backlighting kit that goes beyond wow factor to make viewing more comfortable. Scientifically speaking, the LED lighting acts as bias lighting, relaxing the iris of the eye and causing less strain during extended viewing. When the screen is on, the multicolored perimeter lighting enriches onscreen content and when off, can be used to set the mood of the room.

Available in custom aspect ratios and images sizes up to 143-inches (wide), the LuminEsse rigid fixed frame front projection wall screen utilizes Stewart Filmscreen’s EZ Mount wall mount system, making screen installation inexpensive, simple and fast.

InfoComm15 attendees are invited to Stewart Filmscreen’s booth #2821 to see the company’s new line of high-performance Cima NT ElectriScreens in action.
