SPIL, KYEC grabs orders for MediaTek 10nm chips

Unconfirmed reports from Taiwan say that Mediatek’s next AP, the Helio X30, will be made by TSMC with a 10nanometre process. The chip has two ARM Cortex-A73 cores clocked at 2.8 GHz, four ARM Cortex-A53 cores clocked at 2.2 GHz, and four ARM Cortex-A35 cores clocked at 2.0 GHz. TSMC is expected to start producing in a 10nm process from Q1 2017.
