The South Korean government will invest a total of 528 billion Korean won (about $468 million) in a seven-year project to launch an OLED research and development centre and a four-story OLED manufacturing facility in Cheonan, South Chungcheong Province.
There are 66 projects already in the pipeline for the R&D centre, with a focus on the encapsulation of flexible OLED panels, next-generation display technology and cutting production costs. 61 manufacturing and production systems will be installed at the manufacturing facility, including an array of OLED evaporation equipment.
